2 hour Design Consultation:

We meet with you for a 2 hour design consultation at your home. This consultation may be the start for a larger project, or a coaching session, where we give you guidelines and professional suggestions to help you achieve a new look on your own. Color consultations is also another service offered at this level. If you are starting a larger projects, we will use this time to get to know you and your preferred styles, your wish-list, project requirements, budget and timelines. We may start taking measurements and photos of your spaces. This is also your opportunity to get feedback from a design professional on any design questions you might have.

Letter of Agreement:

If after the 2 hour consultation you would like to hire us for your design project, we will draw up a "Letter of Agreement" which outlines the scope of work and design services for your project. We now also give an estimate of time for our services, so that you know what to expect before giving your approval to start the design work.

Design Development:

Once you have approved that we start working on your project, the design process will begin. Most projects will start with creating drawings of your spaces; floor plan layout drawings for furniture projects, or before and after layout drawings for remodel projects. Once the initial drawings are approved by you, elevation and detailed drawings may be suggested. We now also start the specification process. Based on what we have learned about you, your likes and dislikes, budget, and style, we will research the thousands and thousands options available, narrow them down to a few options, and put them together in interesting ways. The designs presented to you will always be uniquely yours.

Design Review & Presentation:

We typically need a week or two to work on your designs, and then we will set up a meeting to review. If you live locally, we will meet in person to go over the different design schemes and options, carefully selected by your designer for your spaces. For a remodel project, you will see all the materials in person, and your designer will walk you through the different options and combinations she suggests. For furniture projects, you will be presented with a binder, which shows several completed design options for each of your spaces. You will also be given a detailed spec list with pricing, size, etc. for each furniture item and its cost.

If you don't live locally, we use Dropbox to send high resolution pictures of all items in your design presentations. You will view the presentations on your home computer, and we will "meet" through conference call or FaceTime. We have lots of experience working with out of state clients, and we will make sure the process is easy for you.

Implementation:

Remodel projects:

You may take the drawings and designs to the contractor(s) of your choice, and then handle it from there. Or, you may want Elle Interiors to handle and remain part of the project until the end. Either way, it is always the client who decides whom to hire.

To ensure that design intent is followed, most clients choose to have Elle Interiors assist with the project management and administration for their project. As licensed general contractors, we bring the team of subcontractors to the project, and are there every step of the way to make sure details are taken care of. To ensure a smooth process, all purchasing will be taken care of by Elle Interiors purchaser. Once the cost for each item is approved, we will create purchase orders and follow up with all vendors involved. Once items arrive, we coordinate the deliveries to your home.

Furniture/Decorating projects:

Once you have been presented with the design schemes for your spaces and you have made your selections, Elle Interiors will handle the purchasing for all items. We create purchase orders and follow up with all vendors involved, and give you updates on lead times. You may chose to have items installed as they come in, or wait to have everything installed at once, for that WOW-moment. We recommend to have your designer on site during delivery and installation, to make sure the process goes smoothly and so that she can designate where furniture needs be placed, art hung, etc. Accessories are often added at the end, and your designer typically shop for most of it locally. Once everything is finished there is a final walk through between the designer and client of your new beautiful spaces.
